A summons for 38.68 us wages duc for work prior to his dismissal, and one month's wages in Heu of notice; was brought by Chiu Pat-ki against Wong Sai-ho, manager of the Wan Nam Printing Press, before Mr. Q. A. A. Macfadyen at the Central Magin- tracy yesterday afternoon.

Defendant was represented by Mr. C. D'Almada e Castro, who stated that complainant was engaged at the Printing Press as a stone polisher.
