PRIVATE CAR COLLIDES WITH

KOWLOON BUS

Several traffic mishaps occurred yesterday, among them being a collision between a Kowloon Motor bus and a private car, the driver of the latter absconding after the accident, according to police reports.

Mr. U. Azzollini, of Lloyd Triestine, living at 112, Waterloo Rond, first floor, reported that while driving private car 4322 at 6.10 p.m. along Salisbury Road, and when about to make the turn

into Nathan Road, a strong gust

of wind blew a newspaper, which was on the seat beside him, onto the windscreen causing film to lose temporary control of the car. He bumped into the rear wheel of a motor bus causing much damage to his car's left front fender, spring and axle.

Kwan Hing, in a report to the police, stated that while driving a Kowloon Motor Bus Company vehicle in a northerly direction in Nathan Road, private motor car 4024, driven by a Chinese male, came from the opposite direction und turned Into Dundas Street without giving any warning.

A crash resulted the car being damaged considerably. No one was injured. After the accident the driver of the private car dis- appeared.

The accident occurred shortly

after 3.80 p.m.

Mak Wan-fu licensed driver, 500 Canton Road, reported at the Yaumati Police Station that he was driving motor van T303 in Jordan Rond from east to west and when about to turn into Can- Lon Rond private car 3279 came up from behind and attempted to pass his vehicle, The ear collided with the right wing of the van causing slight damage to both vehicles.
