CHINESE POSES AS POLICE CONSTABLE
Llu Po 30, appeared before Mr. Macfadyen at the Central Pollcoj charged Court yesterday afternoon, with impersonating a Police officer in Garden. Road on September 28 with an unlawful purpose,

Outlining the case, Det-Sergt. J. Shepherd said on September 28, de fendant, approached Chee Ho leonsed hawker in Garden Road and Kaid he was a policeman from No. 8. Police Station, and that complainant was hawking in a prohibited area, and he was to arrest her.
Defendant asked her for 50 cents, but complainant only had 10 cents which she handed over. A frult hawker close by told complainant that Lui Po was not a policeman, but one she recognised as a man who intimidated hawkors.
Complainant gave chase, and de- fendant was arrested by an Indian constable in Garden Road.
"Dot. Bg Shepherd also stated that dofendant has had one or two pre- vious convictions, and was continually under Pelice observation. Defendant! was fined $50, or one month.
