Judicial Precedent
Judge David, who set a judicial precedent with his injunction to restrain a murder, signed another order prohibiting Annu from draw- ing on the family funds for any homicidal purposes.
"I think that will fix it," Budgin said with a grateful smile. "She won't be able to get her hands on anything but the milk money now."
Not long ago, another embattled husband, Stanley Rypinski, said he suspected dis wife of having aspirations of widowhood and asked Judge David to restrain her from committing murder.
The court refused, explaining patiently that Illinois still consi dered murder to be a crime and that "if anyone is going to commit murder an injunction woukin't deter him."
Budgin's case was different, however. He met and talked with the men who were to kill him.
"I was sitting quietly at home on the evening of August 4- I'm a quiet person and I always spend my evenings at home-when four strange men came in and pointed guns at me," he related.
"Two of them had machine guna, and I thought they wanted to rob me. The lender explained that they had been hired by Anna to bump me off but that perhaps they'd better wait until she gave. them some money."
Once before, he added, Anna broke his arm and creased his skull with a skillet and announced that, considering the lenient treat- ment of husband-slayers she had been reading about, she had decided to kill him.-United Press.

Claudette Colbert's long, alanding "happy-for-ever" marriage to Norman Foster! has been added to the list of - shattered Hollywood marri- ages.
The popular Paramount star, was divorced from her husband in Mexico last week, after many years of married life.
Hollywood, which has re- ceived blow after blow since - the dissolution of the Pick- ford-Fairbanks marriage, has clung to the tradition that at least two of the film colony's marriages would endure.
One was that of Joan Blondell to George Barnes. The other was the Colbert- Foster matrimonial alliance. Both have been dissolved within the past fortnight.
Recent Colbert successes included "Young Man of Manhattan", "Phantom Pre- sident", "To-night is Ours", "Sign of the Cross", "Smil- ing Lieutenant" and "It Hap pened One Night." She won the 1935 Academy of Motion Picture Arts award for her performance in the latter film,
