New York and Chicago commodity reports received through terr Swan, Culbertson and Fritz:-The Wall Street Journal repert on yester- day's market:-The stuck market to-day rallied, due to heavy trading in Chrysler issues which advanced more than 2 points on reports of ex- cellent earnings for the first-quarter, The lump in American Telephone shares to a new high level for 1935 caused the majority of issues to ad- vance. Silver Issues, were irregular due to the sharp break in the price: of the metal in London, New York and Montreal, This was due to the fact that London traders dumped the metal, alarmed-by--the-Treasury's continued, failure to increase. It price, Bonds were irregular. Stocks on the Curb Exchange were irregular. ly upward.........

S. C. & F. New York office cables:- Stocks, Sentiment continues bearish, but the List shows a firm undertone, Benkers' Loans have increased by $44,000,000. The National Distillers Products Corp. plans to issue 4% per cent debentures to the value of $15,000,000.

New York and Chicago commodity reports received through Messra. Swan, Culbertson and Fritz;-

Colton: The late strength of the market was due to buying of October options. Selling of July cotton was altributed to "spot" houses and the Government. Outside interests were dermant, adopting a waiting attitude.

Wheat: Liquidation attracted short covering at around 97 cents. We understand that there are resting orders at this level. There is little new buying yet.

Rubber: It is reported that the automobile strike has been intensified by an additional 19.000 strikers, but strong efforts for a settlement are pending.
