ALLEGED SWINDLE'

FORGERY OF KOWLOON

BUS TICKETS

As a result of the Police raids on Tuesday in connection with alleged forged ten cent tickets of the Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited, ten Chinese, six of them bus conductors, appeared before Mr. E. I. Wynne-Jones at the Kowloon Magis- tracy yesterday afternoon and were formally remanded in gaol for one week.

The accused are at liberty to make. application for bail through the Superintendent of Prisons to his Worship during the week.

The defendants are Li Pan, 27, Li Chuen, 37, Sat. Yu-ming, 25, Shum Ping. 22, Li Luen, 21 and Lau Chun, 25, all licensed bus conductors of the Kowloon Motor Bus Company, and Kwong Kaly 40, unemployed, Leung Yu, 19, painter, Leung Yu-ping, 32, baker, and a widow, Chiu Kit, aged

65.

There arc fifteen charges together. The first, which is against all the defendants, alleges that they on April 15 conspired together and with others unknown to defraud the Kowloon Motor Bus Company, by falsely pretending that certain tickets, purporting to be made by or by the authority of the Company, were in fnet so made.

Kwang Kai, the seventh defendant, is charged with forgery of tickets at 570 ReclamnLion Street and the pos- session of 705 ten con tickets.

Leung Yiu is charged with_for- gery at 353 Portland Street and the possession of 875.ten cent tickets.

Li Pan is charged with the posar- alon of 72 Elekets and with uttering

"Li Chuen is needset of the ровка- sion of two Uckets and uttering, 08 tickets, while Sat Yu-lam is charged with the possession of 19 tickets and uttering 81.

Shum Ping, the fourth defendant, is charged with the possession of o tickets and uttering 31, while "Li Luen, the fifth accused, is charged with the possession of 77 tlekets and uttering 123.
