$30,000 LOSS LAST YEAR

The report of the Directors of the Hongkong Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd., for the period ended December 31, 1934, states that the loss for the year, after charging $8,703.00 for normal depreciation and after providing for Directors and Auditors' fees, amounts to. 330,087.02. This loss together with $114,404.89, being a further depreciation written off assets and stocks and which has "been deducted from the balance of Profits and Loss Account, and General Reserve Account, leaves 'n total of $7,569.30. This amount the Directors recommend should be carried forward to the credit of next year's Profit and Loss Ac- count,

Directors—Mr. M. H. Lo was appointed Director on 4th July, 1934, vico Mr. Lo Choung Shiu, deceased. Mr. M. H. La's appoint- ment requires confirmation by the Shareholders. Mr. M. H. Lo and Mr. J. Scott Ifnraton retire by rotation, and, being eligible, offer themselves for re-election.

Auditors.--The accounts for the year have been nudited by Messrs. Lowe, Bingham and Matthews, Chartered Accountants, who, being eligible, offer themselves for re election,
