The existence of undesirable, clubs in London was referred to as a grave social question by Mr. Douglas Gordon, chairman of the ilcensing justices for St. James's Division, at the general annual licensing meeting of the Justices at the Vestry Hall, Dean Street, Soho, recently. He suggested that: immediate stops should be taken to control clubs no that only those that were properly conducted should remain on the register.
It was reported by the clerk to the justices that during the past year there had been no convictions of or complaints against licence holders in the division.
