A novel organisation, call- ed the Manchukuo Women's Society for National Defence, is being promoted by leading Japanese-Man- chukuo officials.

An effort is being made to enlist members from among the families of Man- chukuo officials, and others. Up to present; over 2,000 women have been enlisted.
