Berne, Aug. 26: Mr. H. C. Hamilton, one of the most prominent of Bri-! tish racing motorists, was instantly killed in a smash in the Swiss Grand Prix this! afternoon.

Mr. Hamilton had been driving magnificently in an exceedingly fast race and has just entered the last np of the course when the disaster occurred.

Mr. Hamilton was taken from the wreckage, but was already dead.
