THEORY OF START OF FIRE

The theory that some external agent enused a hole in the gas holder was put forward by Mr. H. E. Stone, General Manager of the Hongkong Gas Company, who occupied the witness box during the whole of yesterday afternoon at the inquiry being conducted by Mr. E. W. Hamilton into the recent explosion at West Point, which resulted in 41 deathe.
