DAUGHTER OF Y.M.C.A SECRETARY DIES

The sympathy of a wide circle of friends will go out to Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Ingram in the and loss they have sustained in the death of their young daughter. Helen Faith Pearce Ingram, who passed away at the Kowloon Hospital yesterday afternoon.

Miss Helen Ingram, whe туда within a month of celebrating her twelfth birthday, was stricken with meningitis exactly a week ago. She was taken to the Kowloon Hos- pital In a critical condition, and although she was reported during the week to be progressing as favourably as possible, her comill- tion become worse, and she, passed away yesterday.

The deepest sympathy will be extended to her father, who is Secretary of the European Young Men's Christian Association, and re her mother. More than usual pathos la added to her demise throught the fact that her elder brother, Mr. Theo. Ingram, left Hongkong on Home leave by the Carthage on April 21. Two aisters Miss Ruth Ingram and Winifred Ingram are also left to mourn' ber death.

The funeral takes place this afternoon, pussing the Happy Valley Monument at 4.30 p.m.

Mr. P. J. E. Hiaquer. A profound impression was created amongst the local French community yesterday by the death from meningitle of Monaleur P. J. B. Illiaquer at the Canossian Hos- pital.

The deceased who was 43 years of age, arrived in Hongkong from Salgon at the beginning of this year, to take up his duties as local representative of the Arm of Hardivilliers, Olivier st Cic., machinery and hardware chants, with an office in Anin Life Building.
