POLICE EVACUATE.
OLD NO. 8 STATION TO BE
DEMOLISHED
Sub-Inspector Alis officer-in- charge, Sergt. Slater, Sergt.. Wagland and the Welbalwel and Indian policemen stationed at the old No. 8 Police Station (Upper Lovels) at Bonham Road, evacuat- ---yesterday, as the building is to be demolished. A new structure is being. erected in the near future.
The old building was originally The Rheinish Mission and then) became the Police Training School for many years, until 1927, when the present Training School build- ing at Mongkok was established.
The Europena Police officer's who evacuated yesterday hove been transferred to Police Hend- quarters at Central Police Station, while the Chinese and Indians are being housed in hutments in the vicinity of the Government Civil Hospital.
