The Competition is confined exclusively to amateur photographers.
2. The Prizes will be awarded to the competitor. senting in what are adjudged to be the best photographs in each Section. Each entry mast be necompanied by the form below.
3. The right to publish any or all of the entries
in the Telegraph is reserved, 4-Photographs which have been already entered,

MUSICAL TREAT BY LINCOLNSHIRES
Once Again there Was a "capacity house" for the concert given by the band of the 1st Batt. Lincolnshire Regiment in the European Y.M.C.A. last night, n varied and attractive programme being played.
Among the notable items were the Hallelujah Chorus
from Handel's Messiah" which com- pleted the Brst half of the pro- gramme, a selection from Verdi's famous opera "La Traviata" and Liszt's Hungarian. Rhapsody No. 2.

APPOINTMENT
At the General Assombly of the Presbyterian Church of England, held in London recently, the Rev. T. W. Douglas James, M.A., was appointed successor to Rev. P. J. Maclagan. D.D., as Secretary of its Foreign Missions Committee, the appointment to take effect in o year's time,

Is for the most part a means to attain ກ social and would appear to require revising, judg- ing by the enormous Fuccess which attended the Anals of the dancing competition organised at the Hongkong Hotel on Saturday afternoon in connection with the George White's "Scandals."
A record urowi besieged the grill ro of the Hotel, and over 500 praple sat down to tea and to watch 18 couples dance off for the prizes donated 1 by the Sincere Company.
The Judging. galu by popular vote, frund the first three
couple close together, the winners being: 1. Miss Lily Lal and Mr. W. M. Leong Miss Violet Lee and Mr. Mol: Yne-ham: 3. Miss Chrispinu Perpetuo and Mr. Tam Kok-wah. The arrangements. which were in the hands of the hotel manage- ment, were excellent in every detail. and the competition can be judred a big sucecss, affording as it did novel entertainment to so many hundred people.
