ARSENAL have shaken off all contenders for the championship of the senior division except Huddersfield, and the temperamental midlanders have dhether chance to make a serious challenge if they win at home—as they 'should do on Saturday,

Neither has much advantage in the last few matches of the season and on that ground it would be reasonable to assume that the Lon- doners will wear, the crown for another year. Both Huddersfield and Arsenal meet some of the weakest clubs in the First Division in their last engagements.

Chelsea are making a bold bid to acquire the 35 points which just saved them from relegation last year. I suppose after all there is as much excitement for the club's supporters in playing with fire at the bottom of the division as there is in playing for higher stakes at the top!

Grimsby must be almost uninteresting to watch now as they have their goal well in sight and have no fear of losing it.

The Second Division strikes me as a unanimous set of home wing this week-at least on form. But form hag

gone way of most things though we still cling to it in the absence of a spectator's view of the club's per- formances.
