The premier event during the week-end in Scottish football is the semi-final staged for Saturday when Rangers will no doubt qualify for the final round against Motherwell.

This is rather an obvious estimate shaken only by 'the comparative poor form of Motherwell and the rise

of St. Mirren.

Great little fighters as the latter must be to come so far in the cup over the heads of the Celtic Club, I fear that they are lacking in strategy and experience to get the advantage of the Motherwell combination.

Rangers are old and tried exponents of cup-ties and their form indicates that they will again have little difficulty in getting through to the final.
