The Navy, playing with only several of their regular fitteen, suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of the Clubs at Sookun- poo on Saturday. The Clubs scored two tries (6 points) to the Navy's one goal (5 points). The score just about indicated the zun of the play, although had the Clubin slozed their opportunities they would have gained a more decisive win.

The game was somewhat scrappy, and the handling of both sides was poor, cach net of backs running across the field too much rather than run- ning straight.
