According to Messrs. Swan Culbert son and Fritz, the New York market was irregular yesterday. Business done 1,020,000 shares. The Wall Street Journal reports:--The market was irregular "and very dull due to proholiday inactivity. Some shares, however, had an inexplicably sharp including Certain-teed Products preferred which declined to a price of $17 and Gotham Silk Hosiery pre- ferred to a price of $0. Atlas Tack Corporation shares were more quint on account of reports of Investiga tion. U.S. Stocl was up on bullish Industry nows, Bonds were dull and heavy.
