This date, however, proved impracticable, and it has now been decided that the conference shall be convened for 1st May, 1934. Invitations have accordingly been conveyed by the Government in the United Kingdom to the Governments of 32 other countries which are mem- bers of the Union to appoint de- legates to this conference.
Copies of the proposals drawn up by the British Government. with the assistance of the Inter- national Bureau of the Union, which are to form part of the programme for discussion at the conference, were transmitted to the Administrations of the coun- trics of the Union by the Bureau on 28th April, 1932. It is under stood that the Bureau will shortly circulate a further document con- taining supplementary proposals! submitted for discussion by cer tnin other countries. British Wireless.

Since leaving Northern Chinese waters early in August, the Tulsa has visited Amoy, Swatow, Fouchow, Hongkong and Manila. Tho early part of September was spent in Hongkong. During November the Tulsa underwent routine overhaul at the Navy Yard Cavite, Manila, returning to South China watora early this month.
