We ask them to be more serious before it is too late. Let them have the will to build now on the ruins of a sad and unhappy sya tem, and play their games within the walls of a new Jerusalem rather than on the outskiria of a dying and decaying town that con- tains the hopelessness of the past.

Let them keep their eyes on the vision of something their own pouls are yearning for, and not be con- tent with things as they are, even if it is satisfying to criticise and beraon yet not to wet.

Anthony Eden sold the Government was closely watching events in Cuba but did not feel that Mr. Doyle's suggestion that Britain consult the United States-with-n-view to averting further loss of life would serve any useful purpose at present.
