Lord Wake- field bought the ralie for £3,000 from Mr. George Eyre Matcham. Mr. Matcham is a descendant of Nelson's favourite sister, who in- herited the book.

things One of the strangest about the book is that Nelson made the mistake of dating the first entry 1785 Instead of 1805. It is thought that his mind must have been turned back to some personal incident 20 years before when he was writing-Router.
