A tragic outcome to an artaed Chinese 1 between encounter Maritime Customs cruiser and a suspect junk was brought to the notice of the Hongkong Police authorities on Saturday, when a Water Police launch returned to the harbour with the dead body of a three-year-old Chinese girl, who was killed on the junk.

The affair is somewhat shrouded in mystery, but waterfront in- quiries have in some measure con nected the facts.
