JUNK TRAGEDY
FIGHT WITH ARMED CUSTOMS LAUNCH
A tragic outcome to an artaed Chinese 1 between encounter Maritime Customs cruiser and a suspect junk was brought to the notice of the Hongkong Police authorities on Saturday, when a Water Police launch returned to the harbour with the dead body of a three-year-old Chinese girl, who was killed on the junk.
The affair is somewhat shrouded in mystery, but waterfront in- quiries have in some measure con nected the facts. The junk, it is stated, is one registered in Hong- kong, and until it met with the tragic encounter on Saturday had been making periodical trips to points on the Chinese mainland and on the Canton Delta.
