DEATH OF MR. J. H. BOTELHO

POPULAR RESIDENT

OF COLONY Death has removed an old and highly respected member of the Portuguese community In the per- son of Mr. Joao Hoytor Botelho, Vice-Consul for Portugual in Shanghai.

The deceased was 48 years of age and was the exception of a few years residence in North China, nad lived all his lite in Hongkong. He was one of the founders of tue firm of Botelho Bros. trom woich no retired 1028, duo to heaita, of a genial disposition, his less will bo deeply telt by a wide circle of friends in China.

The late Mr. Botelho is surviv. ed by his wile, son, mother and other relatives to whom heartfelt sympatay is extended in their and bereavement.

The funeral will take place on Sunday and will pass the Monu- ment at 5 p.m.
