St. Joseph's.

1

In a low scoring cricket match at Sookup poo yesterday afternoon, Queen's College defeated their old rivals, St. Joseph's College, by Ave runs. The finish was very exciting and at one time St. Joseph's looked like winning, but the bowling of M, el Arcull, the Queen's College skip. por, and Teul Yan-pal, turned the scalo in favour of the winners.

M. el Arculli's Innings of 24 was the highest

of the day, he being the only player to reach the twenties. Wood and Eamail cach captured three wickets, the former for oven runs and the latter for eight: A. A. Bum Jahn also bowled well to take four wickets for 32 runs.

The St. Joseph's College lads col- lapsed when they took their turn at the crease, only G. Windsor reaching double figures. The last wicket fell when their score was five short of their opponents total, Taul took three wickets for 18, Arcull! four for 22 and G. Leo two for six.

1.R.C. 2nd. XI v. RE and S. The following will represent the Indian R.C. 2nd XI against the Royal Engineers and Royal Corps of Signala in a friendly match on the former's ground on Saturday, commencing at 2 p.m.:

LAWN BOWLS LEAGUE.

Final Match of the Season on Saturday Next. Postponed from September 10, the lawn bowls league match between the first teams of the Civil Service C. C. and the Kowloon Dock R. C., is to be played off on Saturday next on the fatter's green.

Thin is the last match of the lawn bowls league programme, but will have very little effect on the present, standing of the various teams.

The Civil Service C. C. are now third, with the Kowloon C. C., but the Happy Valley players have a better (shot average and if they lose there will be a triple tie for the third place, with the Kowloon Docks finishing between the Civil Servants and the Kowloon Cricket Club; but should the Happy Valley players win on Saturday they will be zole occupants of the third poaltion, with the Docks fifth.
