MORE ANGLO-IRISH NEGOTIATIONS.

TO BEGIN IN LONDON NEXT WEEK

London, Oct. 3.

A new phase of the Anglo-Irish controversy has begun, and pogo tlations concerning the land annui- ties and other sums withheld by the Free State will begin in London on October 14.

This was decided at the parley al London' to-day, when Mr. J. H. Thomas, Lord Hallsham, Sir John Simon, Mr. Noville Chamberlain, Mr. Eamon de Valera, Mr. T. Dolanty and Mr. McGuire were present.

The conference, which began at 10.30 a.m., was held at the Domin ions Olloo. The car containing the Free State delegatea arrived almost unnoticed, owing to the rival attraction of the Guards Band from the Chelsea Barracks march- ing to the Palace.

INQUEST INTO DEATH OF WOMAN

At the inquest into the death of a woman named Wu Ah-ngo yes- terday, a witness alleged that she was killed by a truck which passed a stationary tramear, knocked а bay down, werved to the left and finally ran over her. Mr. Schofield sat as Coroner, with a jury.
