ERRORS on the part of Gurevitch, the Kowloon Club goalkeeper was the chief instrument in the defeat of the Peninsula team by South China in the opening of the football league. on Saturday. The Chinese should never have won by such a pronounced margin, Gurevitch being responsible for three fatal mistakes.

The Royal Artillery were completed submerged beneath the determined and well directed Borderers attack and were finally outplayed, whilst the Police, from the territorial viewpoint, had the match in their pockets against St. Joseph's, but finished so badly, that. they eventually lost.

The weakened Reercio side had a rough passage against the Chinese Alhletic finishing six goals on the debit side.
