Y.M.C.A. MEETING.

MEMBERS DISCUSS HOUSE COMMITTEE SCHEME

A meeting of members of the European Y.M.C.A. held last night to discuss a programme of winter activities and to elect committees was the setting for a heated argu- ment on the question of whether a house committee should be elected to stand batwean the Board of Directors and_the_members.

Mr. F. C. Manning, a resident member brought the matter before the meeting after the committees had been elected. He considered it was a favourable time to raise the question and moved "That this meeting elect a house committee."
