PETITIONED TO REMAIN IN SHANGHAI

Shanghai, May 30.

the with- Arrangements for drawal of all the soldiers of the Nineteenth Route Army for Kiangel and Fuklen from Shanghai have been made by officers of the famous army, and, according to their commanding officer, General Chlang Kwang-nni, numerous peti- tions from lending Chinese publici organization have been received demanding the continued station- ing of the army in Shanghai and: along the Shanghai-Nanking Rail- wny.

General Chiang said that he was greatly impressed by the sincere altitude of the Shanghai residents, but considered it imperative to obey the Nanking instructions to pro- | ceed to Fukien, where the serious Communist uprisings are demand- ing the keen attention of the nu- thorities.

The Sixth Nanking Squadron of millitary aeroplanes and 120 avintors will command 12 bombing aeroplanes for Fukien, travelling with the 19th Route Army.
