"Mather's Millions," which opened yesterday at the Central Theatre, is a remarkable example of a mighty good play transferred almost bodily and in toto to the seroen, and with equally good, if not better resulta, Howard McKent Barnes wrote the play originally for May Robson's una. Though this reviewor never anw it, it is understood to have been a financial and artistic success for Bins Robson. It was this suc- eeas which inspired her to use it as a vehicle for her talking picture debut. It la remarkable, of course, because it lent itself so remarkably to trans cription to the screen. Winnifred Dunn is credited with the adaption. It is still more remarkable for the vital and gripping performance of May Robaan. This is not to be won. dored at.
