Lo great Dr. and Mrs. Sherwood Eddy, who have recently arrived in the Colony from an extensive tour through North China, During their recent visit to the Far East Dr. and Mrs. Eddy stopped at no fewer than 20 cities In

North China and Manchuria, giving a series of lectures on religious, and social problems. As a traveller, lecturer, social worker and author of several outstanding books, the latest publication being "The Chal- lenge of Russia," Dr. Eddy has bean well-known in thin part of the world for the past thirty years and his lectures have always been popular with the Chinese people.

Dr. Eddy is a staunch advocate of international pence and a cup- porter of the League of Nations. In his opinion the League at the moment may be only a giant babe. but in time it will attain full stature, Dr. Eddy is familiar with conditions in Russia, having

made six visita there--two under the Czarist regime in 1911 and 1912 and four under the prosent govern- ment in 1923, 1926, 1929 and 1930. He has seen former acquaintances of the old order both inside and outside of the Soviet Union. He has Interviewed friends and foes of the present government, foreigners and Russians in every walk of life. Ruin To-day,
