CRAIGENGOWER'S DOUBLE.

CRICKET LEAGUE SUCCESSES.

A feature of the week-end cricket was the "double" brought off by the Craigengowrer G.C. against their neighbours, the Civil Service C.C., the senior team of which met their second, and the junior team, their third defent in League Games this season.

DIVISION I

Craigenrower C.C. Defeat Civil Service.

In a match of low scores, the Craigengower C.C. opened their sca- son well by defeating their neighbours, the Civil Service C.C. by 26 runa. on the latter's ground. Good bowling by E. B. Reed, the old Interporter, was mainly responsible for the poor acore of the visitors who made only 30, of which S. V. Cittins claimol 23, and R. Lee 20. Reed captured live wickets for 22 runs.

The home fared worse when they went in to bat. They found R, Lev and Omar in fine form with the ball, the former taking five wickets for 32 runs and the latter four for 23. Richardson and Baker, with 10 each, were the only batsmen to reach double figures.

DIVISION II.

Cralgengower C.C. Win Their

First Match.

The Civil Servico C.C. 2nd XI reeived their third defeat of the aeason at the hands the Craigen- Rower C.C., who won by 60 runs. Consistent batting brought the Craigengower scure to 106, N. B. Kitchell being top-scorer with 13. Randle, who

bowl put on lo wna late, captured five wickets for 21

runa.

The Civil Servants failed again in their batting, bring all dismissed fur exactly 100 runs. A. E. Wood played well for 18 and Robertson 13. Irance captured five wickets for 53

F. S. W. Smith scored his century of the Reason in a League match against the Royal Engineera and Signals, carrying his bat for 100 not out. Together with F. E. Law- rence, who made 75, they put on 161 runs for the first wicket, and the side eventually declared with 196 runs for two wickets.

The military started off shakily, but the later batsmen Improved and were able to play out time.

Thale score was 114 runs for nine wickets. Of this Lt. Col. Marsden cinimed 31.

FRIENDLY MATCHES.

H.K.C.C. Lose to Indians On Own Ground.

In a low-scoring game, the Hong- kong C.C.. playing at home, lust to the Indians by four wickets. Good bowling by Pereira and Madar skittled out the Club sido for 107 ruus, Duckitt being top scorer with 30. Poreira captured three wickets for 20 raps and Madar Ave for 44. The Indians passed this score with four wickets in hand.

L.R.C. 2nd XI v. ILK.CC. 2nd XI. A drawn game was played between the second strings of the Indian R.C. and the Hongkong C.C. at Saskunpos and ended In a draw. The home team batted first and compiled 180 runs for nine wickets, Madar tributing D and A. R. Abbas 43. Gahagan took four wickets for 84 runs. The visitors had made 93 for soven wickets when stumps were drawn. Of this total. A. J. Wold claimed 57, gluing a sparkling exhibl. tion of hard hitting.

University v. RA.M.U.

A scratch team of the University entertained the Royal Army Medical Corps at Pokfulam and won by 148 runs. A feature of the match was a century by A. M. Rodrigues, promising batsman, who mado 128 not out. The military side faced with scoro of 221, but were dismissed for 70.

Royal Navy v. Queen's College. Queen's College put up a prisingly good performance against the Navy and went away with honours even. The Navy, batting, first, pat up 171 runs for eight wickets when the closure was applied, Lt, Commdr. Shaw hitting three sixco and ten fours in his innings of 78. Nothing daunted, the school-boys replied with 101 runs for four wickets. E. T. Wood claimed 58 and K. Nazarın 62.

Richardson Knocks Up A Good Score.

Playing for the Civil Service C.C. against the Volunteers yesterday, J. E. Richardson scored a century, not out. R. M. Wood helped matters with in well played 15.
