Irving Pichel, the character actor who is best remembered for his port rayal of the God-fearing farmer-hus- band of Ruth Chatterton in "The Right to Love" will be seen in his third important character impersona- tion for Paramount in the creepy mystery film, "Murder by the Clock" at the King's Theatre showing to-day, This film is based on the mystery novo of the same name by Rufus King.

Pichol only recently contributed his second outstanding performance for Paramount, under the direction of Josef von Sternberg, in "An Am- erican-Tragedy." His portrayal of the district attorney in this produc- tion is said by executives to rank with the finest delineations given the talking seroon.

His new assignment In "Murder by the Clock" affords Pichol fullest op. portunity to utilize his powerful and finished dramatic talents. As a my sterious terror, Fichel plays an Im- portant part in the motivation of the {picture's strange story of man twice
