IN Hankow and huge areas of the surrounding country, millions of men, women and children have been swept out of their homes. All their food and crops have been destroyed and unless their diro need is answered, millions of them will perish from starvation and disease.

The Government is organising rellef, has aiready appropriated $2,000,000. and is arranging large loans for this purpose. But many public spirited people are desirous of doing something themselves to render Immediate aid and are therefore subscribing to the National Flood Relief Commission which has been organised at Shanghai. This is under the super- vision and administration of a number of responsible gentlemen, Foreign as well as Chinese, a list of whom is here given.

Subscriptions will be utilised for the purpose of Immediately feeding and clothing the destitute, and tending the sick.

Your contribution, however small, will be grate- fully received at the office of the National Flood Relief Commission, at 1C Kiuklang Road, Shangbal, or may be paid direct into their account at any of the following Banks and their branches.
