With Bananas,

You will next one-lernon, three bananas, 2oz, lump sugar, and one pint of water, or more în propor- tion to the quantity required. Wash the lemon, then rub the ugar over the peel. Squeeze, add the juice to the sugai and the sliced bananas, and your over the whole mixture a pint of boiling water.

Cover the jug and leave to stand for six hours. Then strain through a sieve and put on the refrigerator until required.

With Strawberries,

Mush 2 pints of strawberries and add the juice of one lemon, 2 tablespoonfuls of orange julee, and three pints of water. When this has stood for three hours strain it over Bath, of sugar, and stir well until dissolved. Serve lee-cold.
