ANOTHER LOCAL FIRM VICTIMISED,

-- A further report of, a firm being › victimised by a Chinese who is alleged to have stolen a book of cheques of the Chartered Bank, lina come to the notice of the police through Mr. Kaub Chand, manager' of the Crown Silk Store, of 5. Wel-

ington Street.

The complainant has Informed the police that at 6 p.m. yesterday.........

Chinese went to his shop and ordered all to the value of $75 Which ho wished delivered to 55,' Robinson Road. The material was taken by a fady assistant, of the shop and on delivering the silk the purchaser handed over a cheque signed by D. S. Cheung.

The description of the man and the serial number of the cheque tallies with the recent warning Isused by the police to the public.

A tragic aspect, of the Fujimura case in that Mr. Fujimura's wife. who has not yet been told of her husband's fate, has given birth. ta

a daughter, while auffering from shock at the death of an- other daughter. In hospital on August 14. The news is not being broken to the wife for at least a week, owing to her con- dition.
