On n promontory at Aberdeen, where a spit of land curves in to form, with the islet of Aplichau, a harbour for the local fishing fleets, considerable headway. has been made with the building of a

theological college for South China,

of which the aim is the training of Chinese for the Roman Catholic priesthood. As stich. the scheme is of much importance and is being followed with keen interest by the Catholic missionary bodies of China. The Catholic Seminary, as the new institution will be called, is being built with funds provided from a long by the St. Peter's Society for the education of native clergy in mission countries. The headquarters of the Society are in Holland, but its branches, we are informed, are spread throughout the Catholle world.
