INDIAN TROUBLE.

OFFICIALS KILLED IN

RIOT,

Bombay, Sept. 26. Fifteen persons were killed and 50 injured in rioting at Panvel when the police fired on the mob. Two Indian officials are among the dend..

Congress sources state that the police party arrested and hand- cuffed the leaders of 5,000 civil disobedients who were returning from a forest where they had broken the forest laws. The de- monstrators resented the arrests and a melee followed. The killed included Joshi (a revenue officer and magistrate) from gunshot wounds, also a forest, officer.- Renter.
