The 17th Annual Report of the Royal Engineers Old Comrades Association has just been issued. It records the deaths of Lieut-General Sir Herbert Chermside, G.CM.G., C.B., a vice-President of the assonia tion and of ez-Q.M.S. F. Kenney and ex-Lance Corporal E. Williams, two old sappers who enlisted in the corps in 1866. As regards over seas branches of the Association the report states that one at Shanghai could not be proceeded with owing to the withdrawal of the troops.
