Signs Wanted.

As there is much vagueness amongst motorists generally con- cerning the locality and area of parking spaces for private vehicles, it would be most useful if signa could be erected denoting actual parking areas.

Good Progress.

Work on the new motor road from the top of Garden Road along Bowen Road, by the filter beds, and thence vis old Magazine Gap Road, and on to May Road Station, is proceeding apace, and a walk along the route reveals the gen- eral scheme. A

very great im- provement will have been effected when this work la completed, and it is to be expected that the second portion carrying the motor thoroughfare along May Road by the L.R.C. and Queen's Gardens, finally linking up with Conduit Road, will also be put in hand in the not far distant future.

Peak Motor Roads.

The work of building new mo- tor roads on the Peak is to be commended, and it should not be long now before the Barker Road is open to motor traffic as far as the Victoria Hospital, and ulti- mately, to the Barker Road tram atation. It does appear that this particular job has been a rather lengthy one, but there appears to be no reason why the completion should be delayed much longer. A Lamp Wanted.
