Business friends and acquain- tances of Hatry and his associates crowded an Aldersgate-street auc- tion room recently when the second portion of the office furni- ture and equipment of Pinners Hall, the headquarters of the Hatry group, was sold for £800.

The most interesting lats con- sisted of the luxurious furnishings of Daniels and Hatry's private rooms. The contents of Hatry's room formed a separate group of lots in the catalogue. There were a rich Persian rug, an old English walnut writing-table, an antique Dutch walnut and marqueterie side-table and an old English grandfather clock.

An interesting illustration of the involved condition of the af fairs of the Hatry companies was provided at the sale of a walnut writing-table. The table belong- ed to one company and the plate. glass top was the property of an- other. Table and top had to be sold separately.
