A photo taken at Travemuonde, Germany, just at the moment that the giant Rohrbach Bemar seaplane crashed. The craft was swamped and sank, but the pilot and 13 pase- angers were saved.
A recent production of Cinderella," given at the Embassy Theatre, Bhanghai under the auspices of the British Women's Association, proved a great Success, Mrs. Gay Cumming, the producer of the Christmas pantomime," Little Red Riding Hood," was responsible for "Cinderella." The costumes of the period, the quaint bouffant skirts, strapped slippers and powdered wige, were reproduced effectively. The B. W. A. version was an especially clever one with lines of sufficient sophistication to please older members of the audience, though the orthodox fairy tale atmosphere, and the well-known happy ending,
were preserved.
