Lo arid these two provided the large gallery of spectators with a very fine match, from which Honda emerged success ful in straight sets, Lo played brilliantly but failed to stay the course in a gruelling match featured by hard driving and all-court

hilting. Honda started slowly, but warmed to his work and in the last two sets his forchand drive was working like a machine and, with it, he executed some delightful shots. Lo began well, but subsequently adopted the wrong tactics,
