The chief attraction was the meet- Ing of T. Honda and H. Lo arid these two provided the large gallery of spectators with a very fine match, from which Honda emerged success ful in straight sets, Lo played brilliantly but failed to stay the course in a gruelling match featured by hard driving and all-court
hilting. Honda started slowly, but warmed to his work and in the last two sets his forchand drive was working like a machine and, with it, he executed some delightful shots. Lo began well, but subsequently adopted the wrong tactics,

The qualifiers competed and the event was won by Mr. B.B. Antliony, 5 down. Serond' was Mr. C. E Sandstrom, 7 down. At the con- clusion of the competition the prizes for the past season were presented as follows:
