BLINKO MAGNIFICENT. The Shanghai golfers left this morning after having spent an in- teresting and enjoyable though not altogether successful week at Fan ling, After a run of successes in Interport golf matches they were narrowly beaten by Hongkong on Saturday and Sunday, but they galled some compensation by a victory over Manila by two points In a one-day match yesterday. Originally it was to be a two-day affair, with foursomes on Tuesday and singles yesterday, but owing to the late arrival of the Manila ment It was decided to confine it to one day, 18 holes fourballs in the morning, and 18 holes singles in the afternoon. '-

Blinko's Skill,

The outstanding, player of the day was Blinko, probably the longest driver in the Far East. Blinko went out with the forefinger. of his right hand heavily band- nged. Blinko continued his fireworks during the afternoon, when he was opposed to "Bob" Mason. He started off by winning the first four holes off the 'reel, was seven up at the turn, and finished the match at the eleventh green, 8 and 7. Mason called the game "tragedy."
