Blinko's Skill,

The outstanding, player of the day was Blinko, probably the longest driver in the Far East. Blinko went out with the forefinger. of his right hand heavily band- nged. He told a Telegraph repre sentative that he had sprained it and feared that he would be handicapped considerably. That bandaged finger, afterwards prov- ed to be a great joke among the Manila:men, før Blinko put up auch wonderful golf that no man could live with him. He reeled off "birdies and bogeys with unfail. ing regularity and in the morning fourball actually got an "eaglo" three at the tenth; being on the green in two and stoking a long putt on the trickiest green of the course. He won both the matches in which he was engaged-the fourballs and the singles-by 8 up and 7 to play, remarkable figures when it is considered that the games were over only eighteen holes. In the morning fourballs he went round in 70, six under bogey. He so completely do- minated the play that it was only necessary for Lock, his partner, to chip in twice during the whole round, and then he had to do the holes in "birdies" to beat Blinko. Blinko continued his fireworks during the afternoon, when he was opposed to "Bob" Mason. He started off by winning the first four holes off the 'reel, was seven up at the turn, and finished the match at the eleventh green, 8 and 7. Mason called the game "tragedy."

re-service at the new address.

The dog was described by Captain Carvey as being no bigger than a rất.

Appalled About Russia,

Mr. Baldwin added that it made his blood boil to see the way the State-controlled Russian Press and Russian statesmen referred to the British Government. The Censer- vatives resented the secrecy of Anglo-Russian diplomacy, but n much more serious thing was the persecution of Christians in Russia.
