"SOCCER" TRIAL TO-MORROW.

WOULD-BE INTERPORTERS V. CHINESE

KEEN GAME CERTAIN.

By. "Wunderer."]"

The first of the Interpart trial) matches takes.pluce to-morrow on the Club ground and it should be worth a special effort to witness, for the simple reason that the now Counell of the Aɛsociation appears to have adopted 'a new policy re- garding the staging of such trinks, selecting a Possible team right at the commencement."

Judging merely by the numes of the players, it would seem that very few adjustments will be re quired to produce Hongkong's best team to visit Shanghai next Chin ese New Year. On recent dis- plays, the defence in rendy-made. though it is possible, of course, that the trials will reveal defects.

The opposition to-morrow will be provided by the Chinese and, it in understood, their side will be little changed, if at all, from that which went down to the Civilians after a very hard fight on Satur day.

The Interport Trial team is not definitely composed, but the fol- lowing players are sinted to be certain starters:-Rodger; Wynne, Reeves; Hedley, West, Bliss B. Gosano, A. Gosano, A. N. Other, Butcher.

It is too early, of course, to dis- cuss the prospects of the various players, who have all got to play. hard to earn their places, but There is little difficulty ahead of the selectors in the matter of hit- ting upon the right defence. It is forward where their 'greatest problems are involved, and the wine combinations to-morrow will by watched with special interest.

ANOTHER VICTORY FOR ILMS MOTH.

Shameen, Dec, 1. ILM.S." Moth scored another victory yesterday afternoon when they defented H.M.S. Tarantula by one goal to nil in the Shameen Football Lengye.

The Moth seem to be shaking themselves together now; after losing the first three matches of the season, they drew the fourth and have now just won two in succession, In the first match | played against the Tarantula they

lost by 2 gonls to 1.

Yesterday's game was, very keen and even, the Tarantul, if any- thing, having alightly, the better of the game, However, the Moth managed to net the hall about half way through the first half, after which there was no further score, despite tremendous efforts on the part of the "Tula 15 equal up..

The Moth full backs both played an outstandingly good game, and it is due to their excellent defence work that the "Tulu did not win. The tennis were:
