The police have not relaxed the special investigations they are pursuing into the case in which two European ladies, Mrs. W. J. Hanna and Mrs. J. McLeod, were recently robbed in succession by snatchers In the same locality.

There is reason to believe that both robberies were committed, If not by the same person, by membora of one gang, and it is to this aspect of the matter that more than one member of the Criminal Investigation Department is giving his attention.

"There is a squad on it," said a police official this morning when informing our reporter that the in- vestigations are still being actively pursued, even though more than a fortnight has elapsed since the roberries.
