SHANTUNG WITHDRAWAL,

Tokyo, May 2.

The National Government China has submitted details of plans for the maintenance of peace and order in Shantung after the Japanese withdrawal.

The situation will not be affect ed, it is stated, by the withdrawal of Marshal Fong's troops from Shantung, as Nanking forces will be drafted to take their place.

The Japanese military chiefs diave, therefore, decided to com- plete their arrangements for the withdrawal of Japanese troops from Shantung by May 27th.

The Chief of the General Staff has informed the Emperor to this effect.--Renter.

The spokesman of the Foreign Ministry stated that the Nanking agreement was practically similar to the Sino-British and Sino-Am- ericon settlements; while the Hankow agreement differed in many respects from both the Nanking and Tainan affaire.

It is stated that the Japancac Minister is going to Shanghai to night, and will shortly, return to Japan, returning to China before May 26 to discuss again the ques- tion of treaty revision, with Dr. Wang, after the state burial of Dr. Sun Yat-sen.
