Tho "Now World" oven turns cooking from an art to a science The "Regulo" control dial keeps the oven heat just right for the work in hand. You may be miles away, but your meal will be perfectly cooked. The cooking chart tells you the figure at which to set the dial, and the time for cooking. The "Regulo" does the rest, and does it perfectly. If you make no mistake in preparing the food, nothing can prevent perfect results. The "Now World" is AUTOMATIC. There is no guessing the heat. No watching, and no waste of gas.

It is not yet known when the Yingchow will sail for Canton. It is stated that the vessel is not materially damaged, and as soon as the damaged cargo has been Ih-surveyed and extricted the vessel will be able to proceed on her way. Apart from the fire on the ship, Shanghai was singularly free from alarms over the week-end, the only other call being to Pakhol Road where a number of Chinese shops blazed up and the fire was not got under control before ten floors had been destroyed and several drying stages damaged. There was no loss of life, despite the rapidity with which the flames spread, all the oc- cupanta making good their escape; from the binzing buildings.---

One of the details insisted upon by the Ethiopian Government in its official notification is that the new installation must include "A transmitting station of 20 to 25 kilowatta for wave lengths of 10 to 60 metres capable of work- ing permanently with Europe Berlin, London, Paris, and Rome. A complete receiving station cap able of receiving from the above- mentioned stations and În ad- dition from America."
In addition five minor recolving and transmitting stations are to be erected in different parts of the interior.
Unfortunately the latest date allowed for receipt of tenders (28 February, 1929) does not give much the for preparation, but it is to be hoped that the work may be secured for this country.
